What We Do -- Youth & Education

Youth & Education

For centuries, Chabad-Lubavitch has seen education as the most effective way to enhance the prospects of the future, both of the individual and of his and her community.

Studies show that b teaching students how to read/speak Hebrew and giving them a meaningful image of Judaism, you increase the chances of their future involvement within their respective Jewish communities.

The Hebrew High School

The fast-growing Hebrew High is a program that provides an excellent opportunity for teenage students to get UC accredited foreign language credits while receiving a meaningful Hebrew and Jewish education.

Jewish Clubs in Public Schools

We serve local schools and over100 students. Our Jewish Clubs bring Kosher lunch and Jewish Pride to local public schools, including the Los Alamitos High School.

These weekly “Jewish Clubs” have already reached over 250 Jewish students. Over 2308 slices of Kosher Pizza have been eaten. Over $1400 worth in prizes have been raffled off.

Our research shows that 98% of Jewish children (ages 8-17) living in Orange County attend public schools. Locally, an estimated 400 Jewish students attend Los Alamitos High School and McAuliffe Middle School. These Jewish clubs are vital to a student’s Jewish life, and in some cases, these meetings may be the student’s only connection to the greater Jewish community.
